It specifically develops management competencies required by learners in any occupation, particularly those who are currently operating as junior managers.
The scope of management covers four domains: leadership, self-management, people management and management practices.
The qualification is widely recognised as a starting point for managers who are climbing the corporate ladder and it provides successful learners with access to the National Certificate in Generic Management NQF Level 5.
This qualification is run over 12 months and includes, on average, 3 days of instructor-led training each month. The rest of the training takes place via practical, on-the-job experience.
Duration: 12-month programme – 3 instructor-led training sessions monthly
